Job Description

Health and Wellbeing Nurse (RGN or RMN) - Detox Clinics - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm shift pattern - Swindon, Wiltshire - salary up to £30,000 per annum

I am currently looking for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered General Nurse to join this exciting substance misuse charity service. The company is one of the country's most recognisable alcohol and opiate addiction recovery services and are expanding at a fast rate. The charity aims to provide detoxification care to patients, attending to their general and mental wellbeing. Although mental health plays a key part within the services values the focus is oriented towards detox as opposed to rehab. The role of Health and Wellbeing nurse is predominantly clinical and focuses purely on medicated detox over a therapeutic approach.

Experience with drug and alcohol is not essential and can be trained. Nurses must have experience doing vaccinations in hepatitis B and C, this is essential. Also candidates should have ideally screening experience. You will also get experience in BBV screening if you have not done this previously.

In your role as a Nurse in this substance misuse detox service you will play an integral part in an experienced multi-disciplinary team consisting of Doctors, Recovery Workers and Peer Mentors. Each member of the team plays an essential role and provides a high level of individualised care to every patient who comes into the service.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

•Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) qualified with relevant experience
•Vaccination experience in hepatitis B and C
•Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
