Job Description

Responsive Services Central, an Admission Avoidance and Rehabilitation community based team, operational 365 days a year 08:00 - 20:00 with a variety of shift patterns; are looking for caring, smart and efficient Band 3 Health Care Assistants (HCA) to help us take forward our vision and re-configuration of team. The primary role is to support people in their own homes, either by stopping avoidable hospital admissions, or facilitating discharges for people who are waiting for long term packages of care. The team focus is on rehabilitation and re-enablement where the ethos is on allowing people to remain independent and in their own homes. Successful applicants will be working under the supervision of Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, but are expected to be able to work independently whilst out on visits and must be able to manage their time effectively. The team is friendly and dynamic and are commited to providing excellent care, and although a vocational qualification is desirable, a commitment to learning and development is more important, and a full training and development programme will be provided. We are fully computerised and utilise laptops to aid patient facing time so a general IT knowledge is essential.

Successful applicants could be based in Haywards Heath or Crawley and work within surrounding area. Successful applicants without qualification may be offered a Band 2 developmental post, with a guaranteed Band 3 following successful completion of training programme depending on experience.
