Health Visitor - Children and Families
Due to additional funding from the Scottish Government we are seeking to recruit a Public Health Nurse/Health Visitor to join the Health Visiting Team in Springburn Health Centre. We offer a robust support structure with a named preceptor for new staff along with regular caseload management, clinical supervision and child protection supervision. We are committed to enabling the continual professional development of all staff within the team alongside supporting the learning and development needs of individual practitioners. You have the chance to become part of a team of Health Visitors with support from other skill mix colleagues to enable effective working for you as the caseload manager. The Team has a good balance of skill mix including, Staff Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses, Dental Health Support Worker and Health Care Support Workers with a dedicated Team leader. You will be expected to provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective health visiting/public health nursing service in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies. We welcome applications from dynamic and innovative Health Visitors who are keen to work as part of a team. We will accept applications from experienced Health Visitors or those about to complete the post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing. It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience, and show evidence of continuing professional development; and IT skills-word processing/email/internet. You should have the ability to work on your own initiative and as well as part of a team and problem-solving skills is essential. This is a permanent post working Monday to Friday 830am-430pm.
