There are currently a number of opportunities within our health visitor teams. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and visionary individuals who are committed to providing high quality, person centred care to children and families across Lanarkshire. This is an exciting time for our children and family services as a number of innovations and developments are implemented across maternity, health visiting and school nursing services to ensure that the children in Lanarkshire have the best possible start in life. In addition NHS Lanarkshire is fully committed to and integrated with the work of the Early Years Collaboratives in both North and South Lanarkshire which is continuing to enhance services to children and families. NHS Lanarkshire has an excellent professional development department who work closely with the University of the West of Scotland to ensure excellent learning and professional development opportunities are available to all staff. The successful candidates will have a recognised specialist public health /health visiting/school nursing qualification, high standard of communication & organisational skills & ability to work within a team or on their own initiative. A sound knowledge of child protection systems & partnership approach with other agencies is essential. There are currently vacancies throughout the whole of NHS Lanarkshire for a variety of hours in both health visiting and school nursing posts. Car driver and current driving licence required. You must be a Registered Nurse educated to/working towards/operating at degree level with an SPQ in Public Health Nursing. 5 years post registration experience is also required for these posts.
