Job Description

Solent NHS Trust would like to invite enthusiastic and innovative Health Visitors to apply for posts in our multidisciplinary teams across Southampton City. Solent NHS Trust has developed an integrated approach to service delivery within our children and families Integrated 0-19 Locality Teams.

Solent NHS Trust is committed to supporting ‘The Journey of the Child’ by developing new models and pathways of delivery - from universal to specialist services where health visitors use their public health skills to help reduce health inequalities and improve health outcomes for children.

Our teams aim to deliver the right service, in the right place, at the right time and by the right person, in homes and community settings.

We need creative and motivated health visitors who are keen to work with us to embed our new service model in the delivery of the Health Child Programme (HCP). Solent NHS Trust is committed to staff development and training.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, be flexible and have the ability to implement new and exciting ways of working differently with a focus on positive outcomes for our children and families. We would be pleased to receive applications from qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHN) (Health Visiting) and from SCPHN students qualifying in September 2016.
