We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant for 20 hours per week to assist the clinical team at our practice in Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury in the service and delivery of care to the practice population. Duties would include taking blood, ECGs, Health Checks and simple dressings. The post holder will work under the supervision of a named Clinical or Nursing Lead, undertaking tasks and duties delegated by the clinical team.
They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, ensuring that practice policies and procedures are followed.
They will also assist Registered Manager with duties related to CQC outcomes, ensuring that compliance is maintained.
Clinical responsibilities include venepuncture, new patient health checks, blood pressure monitoring, ECG's, Urinalysis, simple wound care, removal of sutures and clips, smoking cessation, health promotion, NHS health checks, administration of flu vaccines and vitamin B12 injections under PSD.
