Job Description

The Practice is one of the UK’s leading providers of primary and community health care. Established by our two GP directors in 2005, we deliver a supported and sustainable quality service for GP surgeries. The Practice believes strongly in innovative community-based healthcare and delivers specialist clinical services directly to the community so that patients can be treated closer to home.

We are a friendly GP surgery Leeds, with a list size of approx. 3600 patients, who is looking to recruit two part time Healthcare Assistants to complement our existing multi-skilled team.

The ideal candidate will provide an important service to patients, carrying out procedures under the supervision of an experienced nursing team. You will be an integral part of the team, supporting patients to live healthier lives.

The successful candidate will be someone who has worked in a similar primary care environment and be trained, or be willing to undertaking training, to NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care. There is an expectation that you would be required to take blood tests, administer vaccinations, various health checks and assist the nursing team in soem of thei duties.

Learning and development support is available to the right person, with both on-site and off-site learning opportunities.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, have a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to work and an ability to organise and work on their own initiative.
