Health Care Assistant
In Patient Unit
Salary: £15,154 to £18,838 per annum, pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience
Hours: Minimum 225 Hours, Maximum 375 Hours Per Week, on an internal rotation of duty basis.

Providing free specialist palliative care through a range of services to the people of Mid Staffordshire since 1989, Katharine House Hospice exists to offer the best care so that people in our community, affected by progressive illnesses, can live life to the full. Primarily a voluntary organisation, we are held in high esteem by patients and those close to them and are passionately supported by the local community and the services of over 600 volunteers and 230 staff.
An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant within our In Patient Unit. You will support the Registered Nurse to deliver high quality care and to participate in giving the highest possible standard of palliative nursing care to patients and their families. We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent standards of patient care and good communication skills to join us and be part of our team.
Whilst an NVQ 2 in Care or relevant care experience is desirable, we are willing to support and develop the right person who wishes to pursue a career in a caring role.
Please note, an enhanced DBS clearance will be required for this role.
