Location: Tewkesbury Locality- based at Brockworth or Churchdown
Through service delivery review, an exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a dedicated motivated Health Care Assistant to work within the developing Community Nursing Service in Gloucestershire. This post is in Brockworth and Churchdown Team. but we work as a larger team across the patch as service needs arise.
We would welcome applicants who possess a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or learning with competency based evidence. Applicants must demonstrate experience in a healthcare setting and show a genuine interest in community nursing.
The post holder must have skills to deliver care to our patients in their own homes. Previous community experience would be preferable but not essential; training will be given. The candidate must demonstrate an aptitude for learning clinical skills. You will have a positive approach to team working, but confident at working alone in the community setting, visiting a wide range of housebound patients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential,. The post holder would be confident with their IT skills.
We are an integrated community team , bringing different professions together in order to plan and deliver care in order to provide a person centred approach to patient care and support in the patient’s own home
The ability to travel in the community and hold a current UK driving licence is essential.
We operate a shift system working between 8am and 8pm, covering 7 days a week including bank holidays.
