We are seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to work full or part time hours in the Bampton area of North Devon through our Barnstaple branch. 

If you’re looking for flexible day, night or weekend shifts and the chance to choose your own rota with the added support of a permanent contract and a local line manager, this is the job for you!

Due to the location of some clients, it is essential that you are willing to travel and ideally have access to your own car.

The Healthcare Assistant Job Role:

It's essential you are confident delivering personal care with a mindful approach towards protecting the dignity of the individual and promoting their independence. 

You will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and quality of life of each individual in your care. Daily tasks may include assisting with washing and dressing, meal times, personal care and assisting with activities as required.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be a naturally compassionate person with a strong sense of empathy for those individuals in your care.

You will also need to have:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs
  • Up-to-date moving and handling training
  • NVQ2 / SVQ2 in Health and Social Care highly preferable.
