Job Description

Any exciting opportunity has arisen within the Criminal Justice Team within Substance Misuse Services. Two posts have become available to support both the criminal justice team and women's services. The successful candidates will be required to work with a range of individuals within the Criminal Justice System and provide a health care service including facilitation of attendance at keep well services and with other health care providers. Working under supervision of senior staff, you will undertake a range of both clinical and non-clinical tasks. It is expected that you will work independently with patients in the community. Participation in service development is essential. The successful candidates must be able to evidence good interpersonal and communication skills, and must be self-motivated and enthusiastic. Training, supervision and support will be provided to enable you to achieve and work within agreed levels of competence. Previous experience of working in a health care setting, particularly mental health/ substance misuse, would be advantageous as would knowledge/experience of the Criminal Justice system. You should possess Healthcare Assistant Qualification, SVQ level 2 or equivalent. This post is area wide throughout NHS Forth Valley. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
