We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Healthcare Technicians to work 375 hours in our busy Endoscope Decontamination Unit, which is part of the Endoscopy Department.
The Endoscopy Department provides services to patients which help doctors to detect serious stomach and bowel conditions.
The job involves working in the decontamination unit which provides technical support, to care for, and prepare the equipment used by our doctors and nurses. The job has limited direct patient involvement. You do not need to have any experience as training will be based both on the Unit and at approved external and online education establishments.
You will be supported and encouraged to develop yourself as your confidence grows. The job will be ideally suited for people with a practical or a technical background.
The job involves long shift patterns and standing for long periods. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a large team, but also capable of planning your own work.
We are a friendly department which is open Monday to Saturday 08:00 – 19:00. We do also provide some cover over bank holidays – this may be limited to one half day shift.
