Job Description

Home Manager vacancy at purpose-built Chesterfield Nursing Home - up to £40,000!

A great opportunity for a Home Manager has arisen at my client's 27-bedded home which provides specialist nursing and residential care across categories such as elderly and dementia care, alongside those requiring no medical intervention.

Admission age is 65+, and the home has a strong local reputation for high standards of nursing care. The social and upbeat atmosphere at the home ensures its residents make the most of their time at the home, and trial stays are encouraged here as well as respite breaks and convalescent care.

Furthermore, it has strong links with the local community and works closely with health providers to best care for residents. The home has been deemed fully compliant in all areas in its most recent CQC inspection, and it is now looking to recruit a Home Manager to carry on the good work at the facility.

To be considered for the role, the successful candidate must be:

  • An RGN/RMN with a valid and clear NMC pin
  • An individual who has at least 3 years nursing home management experience
  • In possession of good marketing and budgetary skills
  • In possession of sound CQC inspection knowledge

Some of the duties involved include (this is not exhaustive):

  • Managing all members of staff
  • Performing on-call duties as and when required
  • Having a clear and thorough knowledge of CQC standards
  • Ensuring the home meets all necessary standards
  • Ensuring the home is appropriately staffed at all times
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts on a regular basis to present to financial/operational managers
  • Ensuring the home adheres to all Health and Safety regulations as necessary
