Home Manager RGN - Elderly Nursing Home - Shropshire, West Midlands - Salary £55,000 per annum

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Home Manager to join this medium sized elderly and dementia nursing home in Shropshire, West Midlands. You will be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with proven experience working in a managerial position or as a deputy home manager who is keen to progress.

This is a private, independent home which is family run and provides dedicated support and guidance to each member of staff. Working for an independent service you will benefit from dedicated and comprehensive support and guidance in a setting which will allow you to really make positive changes.

If you are a Home Manager or Deputy Home Manager looking to progress, a fantastic opportunity to head a team at this medium sized elderly nursing home in Shropshire, West Midlands. The home provides general nursing care to 49 residents with dementia, learning disabilities and physical disabilities.

The service is privately owned and has been within the same family for over 30 years. This opportunity will allow you to develop professionally within a home which is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of care for its residents.

This is a chance to lead a service and play a hands on role in a well skilled and established team. The home has in place an experienced team structure which permits the home manager to work in a hands on way on the floor alongside the team. It also has a fantastic reputation across the West Midlands and is well known for the excellent standards it maintains. You will have up to date clinical skills and a real passion for pioneering the highest level of care. As Home Manager you will be able to put your own stamp on the how and employ relevant and appropriate changes to the way the home is ran, along with the support and guidance of the owner.

The role of the Nursing Home Manager (RGN) is:

•Provide leadership to all staff in order to deliver the highest possible quality of care within a safe working and living environment
•Be the person in charge responsible for the day-to-day running of the unit with 24 hour responsibility for the care of the residents
•Manage the effective use of resources and maintain high levels of occupancy
•Must comply with all regulatory and legislative requirements at all times and in particular the Commission for Social Care Inspection for the Registration and Inspection of Nursing Homes and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety
•Work in conjunction with the Services Manager to participate in the budgetary process for the home

As a Nursing Home Manager (RGN) you will have:

•Proven management experience in a similar environment
•A relevant nursing qualification (RGN)
•Current and valid registration with the NMC
•The NVQ Level 5 qualification
•The legal right to work in the UK
