Do you have experience working with children or adults with additional or complex health needs? Are you dedicated to provide help, care and support to those who most need it?

We are looking for committed people to work within our dedicated Health Care Support Team who provide essential complex health care to children, young people and their families. This is an opportunity to really make a difference to the life of a family by providing clinical care within the home or community environment.

By joining our team, you will be providing valuable opportunity for a child, young person and family to meet their full potential and achieve their chosen life outcomes.

It is essential that you have experience in care preferably for children or young adults with additional needs or disability. You will require at least NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in care. There is a requirement to work night duty either on a permanent basis or as part of a rotation.

A full training package will be available and provided by qualified nurses. A competency framework will need to be completed with assessment to ensure you remain fit to practice. Access to a qualified nurse for support will be available 24/7 from specialist nurses within the Community Children’s Nursing Team.

**All new appointments are subject to 6 months’ probation period.

**If the position being applied for requires a DBS check to be undertaken on you, it will be a condition of your employment that you have subscribed and continue to subscribe to the DBS Update Service. New employees to the Trust are required to pay the fee for the initial DBS check (this will be deducted from their first months’ salary) and the annual subscription (£13) to the DBS Update Service. Internal applicants are required to pay the annual subscription fee only (£13). Further information on the update service can be found on our website link ‘DBS Update Service.’

The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
