We are seeking a committed and experienced Senior One Hospital Radiographer to join our client's Diagnostic Imaging department at their large acute hospital site. The hospital is located in the comfortable southern suburb of Edgbaston, Birmingham, not far from the famous cricket ground and the city centre. This is a full-time position, but our client is open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity; however, fixed shifts cannot be guaranteed.
Our client is a major provider of independent healthcare in the UK, engaging with the elite of the West Midlands' Radiology Consultants and other healthcare specialists. Their Radiology Department, with its state-of-the-art medical equipment, comprises a friendly multi-disciplinary team dedicated to the highest standards of professional radiography and patient satisfaction.
The successful candidate will produce high quality diagnostic imaging for a varied caseload, practising good radiation protection and safety and observing local rules and systems of work.
Hold a BSc in Radiography or equivalent with full HCPC registration.
To have 2 - 3 years' post-registration experience in general Hospital Radiography, of which one year must be UK-based.
Completion of a Teaching and Assessing/Mentorship qualification and/or experience in the supervision of student/grad Radiographers.
To have a good understanding of legislation relating to Radiation Protection, Infection Control and Health and Safety.
