Housekeeper/ Health Care Support Worker - Oncology

Job Description

You will work in a distinct role to support the delivery of clinical care by assisting in the maintenance of a clean, safe and attractive environment, conducive to patient care. Co-ordinating a range of ward services, including cleaning, catering, supplies, linen services, and general maintenance issues reporting and rectification, incorporating clerk duties and you will work closely with the Division's support service departments and Ward Managers and staff to ensure that national and local standards are met. Healthcare experience desirable as this ward cares for patients with a cancer diagnosis who may be receiving or received chemotherapy, radiotherapy and associated treatments including young adults. You should possess excellent numeracy, written and verbal communication skills and you should have the ability to carry out tasks effectively and report issues/findings to the ward Managers. This is a permanent post with part time hours (3462) and you will work these hours Monday to Sunday on day and night shifts. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme.
