Inpatient Placement Sister Band 6

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 6 Patient Flow Coordinator to join our existing team in Neurosciences, comprising of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Hyper Acute Stroke and Stroke Rehab. As the Patient Flow Coordinator you will be responsible for the safe and effective flow of patients in both elective and acute patient pathways throughout our services.

The post holder will be able to work autonomously. They will be able to demonstrate good relationship building skills. It is essential that they hold excellent communication skills to enable collaborative working with numerous ward teams, medical colleagues and the executive team. The post holder must also be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills, work well under pressure and demonstrate the qualities expected in the Leeds Way.

The team provides cover over 7 days; you will be required to work a variety of different shift patterns.

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment and will need to be renewed annually. For Band 1 roles the Trust will pay the cost of the DBS checks and refund to you the cost of the update service. DBS checks for volunteers are free.
