Band 6 Junior Charge Nurse / Sister- Sahara A

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join the team on Sahara A Ward at Queens' Hospital. We are looking for an individual to help support our nursing team in the delivery of high quality nursing care, if you are reliable, organised and a good team player, then we want to hear from you.

Sahara A is sistered by a 14 bedded Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) caring patients with a variety of neurology conditions and following neurosurgery. There is also a 4 bedded area for patients to attend on a daily basis for investigations and to receive regular treatment.
We are a supportive team who have a good working relationship with the multi disciplinary team we work alongside.

You will be flexible and able to meet the needs of the patients and service. You will be proactive and innovative, with the ability to meet changing needs and it is essential that you can work on your own initiative and manage your own workload effectively. There are excellent opportunities for personal and professional development as well individual support from the Ward Manager and Matron

All new staff appointed to posts at the Trust will be subject to a 6 month probationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the culture and working environment of the Trust.
