The Priory Hospital Keighley is a 43 bed specialist provider of slow stream psychiatric rehabilitation for both males and females 18+ who may/may not be liable to detention under the MHA (1983, amended 2007) we also provide a 9 bed specialist Dementia service for older adults. We work within the CPA framework, supported by a full MDT.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Occupational Therapist to provides assistance to professional and clinical staff with the planning, implementation and evaluation of social activities in order to improve mental, emotional well-being and quality of life of clients.
- Assists the Senior Occupational Therapist with the management and
co-ordination of the implementation of individual treatment plans
for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and
interventions are delivered through effective application and
- Under the supervision of the Senior Occupational Therapist receives
and responds promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments
to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering
the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or
group basis. Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each
patients rehabilitation / progress.
- Ensures the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
- Maintains and develops close working relationships with professional
and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring
clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and
complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.
- Contributes to business growth by actively promoting priory therapy services in line with the local units’ business plan.
- Maintains effective communication links with patients, relatives,
carers, and purchasers throughout the patient’s rehabilitation.
Knowledge & Skills:
Holds a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy together with full BAOT membership and HCPC registration.
Experience gained within a related clinical or therapeutic environment.
