Job Description

Ward 12 is a 32 bedded acute general medical ward specialising in diabetes. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent care to patients who are newly diagnosed or who are experiencing diabetic related complications.

We care for patients who also have complex health and social needs which is challenging but highly rewarding. There are the opportunities to care for a multitude of health conditions ranging from respiratory failure to end of life care. This will give you a solid foundation and the opportunity to develop a number of skills.

We are dedicated to developing staff and have a range of courses including a new in-house Band 6 development program.

We are looking for a junior sister who is keen to develop management skills. As a sister/charge nurse you will be required to support your team, take change of the ward safely and effectively and be a positive role model. You will be supporting both the ward manager and Matron, in delivering excellent standards of care and achieving the ward and directorate objectives.
