An exciting opportunity has arisen on ward 110, which is an Acute Stroke Ward, for a Junior Sister. This is a 1-year secondment opportunity to cover maternity leave
Ward 110 specialises in Acute Stoke Care, is a 24 bedded unit which includes a 4 bedded, level 2, hyper-acute stoke bay. The ward takes acute admissions for Thrombolysis, and is supported by a 24 hour Stoke Specialist Nurse.
Working closely with the Ward Sister, the post holder will be responsible for the overall performance of the ward, ensuring that care is delivered to a high clinical standard.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the effective management of the ward or department over the 24-hour period. They will provide clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing team. They will supervise the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care ensuring that nursing and corporate standards are maintained and measured.
