CHEMOTHERAPY AND ONCOLOGY OUTPATIENTS
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Oncology nurse to join our busy team working within Chemotherapy Suite and Outpatient Department in the Centre for Oncology.
The successful candidate will work as part of the multidisciplinary team providing high quality care to patients receiving chemotherapy treatments and offering support to patients visiting outpatient clinic appointments. You will be expected to utilise a range of skills to ensure patients have smooth transition through services within the department from clinical review, holistic assessment, securing venous access, to delivering chemotherapy. We are a busy department who seek an enthusiastic, team player to join us. In return we offer an experienced, supportive environment to stimulate ideas and facilitate development of service improvements.
In addition to this as a junior Sister the expectation would be that you would support the manager in implementing change and be proactive in the development of the service and the day to day management.
A recognised chemotherapy qualification is essential for this post; you should also have experience in acting as a mentor.
