LAS ST3+ Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Applications are invited for three fixed term posts from ASAP-1st August 2017.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic LAS ST3+ Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, within one of the fastest growing teaching Trusts in the UK. The Maternity Department is one of the largest in the country with a number of sub speciality areas receiving tertiary care referrals.

This post will provide an excellent chance to develop your skills in all area of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Should the candidate require continued training and assessment in obstetric and gynaecological skills this can be provided within the RCOG ATSM framework. The department has a strong reputation for further education in these specialties.

You will join a team of 22 consultants and training doctors to provide Obstetrics & Gynaecology services to the local population. The post holder will be required to work across both sites, Royal Stoke University Hospital and the County Hospital. You will be involved in the 1 in 8 on-call commitments.

The post holder will be expected to be an active member of the obstetrics and gynaecology team based both in clinics, delivery suite, the wards and operating theatres. You will be expected to deliver the provision of gynaecological surgery flexibly to ensure cover of unfilled consultant lists.
