Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint enthusiastic individuals to the above posts. Positions are available within Colorectal Surgery, Upper GI Surgery, General/Vascular Surgery and Breast Surgery. Applicants will be expected to have completed their basic surgical training and the post will be suitable for individuals who wish to gain further clinical experience. Applicants should have MRCS and be planning a career in Surgery.

This post is a locum appointment for service for a fixed term period between 3rd August 2016 and 31st January 2017. It is equivalent to an ST3/4 level post but is not a recognized training position. However, there are a wide range of training opportunities. It is expected that the successful applicant will have experience in the sub-specialties detailed above.

This post is full time and will include an on call commitment including day-time, weekend and nights for emergency General Surgery. The post holder will have duties involving a full range of outpatient, day surgery and inpatient services. As well as encompassing their own areas of expertise the post holder will be expected to work flexibly to ensure smooth running of the department and emergency service.

The Trust is situated in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Our location puts Manchester and Liverpool on our doorstep, and London is only a 90 minute train ride away. The Trust has a formal clinical partnership with University Hospital North Midlands and benefits from links with Chester and Manchester Metropolitan Universities.
