Are you a nurse with laser experience now wanting to work within the NHS ?
Birmingham skin centre is a leading laser/dermatology clinic are looking to recruit a Band 6 Laser and Dermatology nurse. Dermatology nursing experience is not required – previous laser experience is essential.
The successful candidate will be working within a state of the art outpatients centre which houses a dedicated laser/dermatology department.
Some of the main duties and responsibilities include:
to assess, plan, deliver and implement a high standard of nursing care
ensuring that the individual needs of the patient are responded to
supervising junior staff and deputising for senior staff when necessary, as well as independently
Plan and deliver care for admissions and discharges
Early recognition of clinical problems and report or take appropriate action
Decontaminate equipment, ensuring it is in good working order
Initiate improvements and developments in clinical issues and delivery of care

The Midland Metropolitan Hospital is being built in Smethwick and will be open in October 2018. It will be the single acute hospital for Sandwell and West Birmingham, providing state of the art healthcare facilities for the population. The Midland Metropolitan will house the emergency department, maternity, acute inpatient wards and operating theatres. Sandwell Hospital remains the site for the Trust headquarters. As well as providing outpatient services, day case surgery and intermediate care beds, the Sandwell Treatment Centre will have a large urgent care centre. The City Hospital site will provide outpatient care and day case surgery from the Birmingham Treatment Centre. Intermediate care beds will remain on the City Hospital site along with the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre.
