Zentar UK is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Lead Chemo Nurse to work in the Oncology/Outpatients division of our client.
Our client is the UK's largest independently owned not for profit hospital, consisting of over 250 patient beds and 12 operating theatres including dedicated endoscopy suites, a day surgery unit and an 14 bedded Intensive Care Unit.

The oncology and haematology outpatient department consisting of 12 treatment areas and aims to provide the highest standards of nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy, aphaeresis and related treatments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing professional standards of care across the spectrum of oncology, and providing clinical leadership.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Carrying out assessments of patients, making critical judgements to inform clinical decision-making, make treatment recommendations and prescribe treatment appropriately.
- This will include communication of complex information on managing the condition and will provide details of alternative options.
- The successful candidate should be an expert in cancer care and be able to adapt to the differing needs of the patients within the medical and clinical oncology wards.
- Outpatient work will cross over to haemato-oncology.
The post is nominally a 9-5 Monday-Friday role but this may require flexibility to suit the needs of the service.
