Full time 375 hours per week Band 8a Lead Nurse Dermatology Poole Hospital NHS Trust
Due to the retirement of the existing post holder an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated dermatologically trained clinical nurse manager to join our enthusiastic team of dermatology doctors and nurses and lead the service. Poole dermatology unit is a well-equipped unit seeing and treating high levels of skin cancer. It is the lead trust for skin cancer management in Dorset. A full range of dermatology services are provided including day treatments, paediatric clinics, PDT, light therapy, patch testing and iontophoresis.
The post holder as well as being clinically skilled will be expected to manage the workforce including rota management and HR issues, and ensure the staff are meeting all the Trusts mandatory training and appraisal targets.
Supported by 4 senior dermatologists, 2 band 6 nurses and a team of senior skin Clinical Nurse Specialists and a general management team, the successful candidate will enjoy working within a friendly department based in one of the most desirable places to live in the UK.
