About the Department
Our 34 Bedded unit provides telemetry for complex cardiac, medical and neurological patients. The ward provides excellent patient focused care for Acute Medical, Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgical, Renal and Vascular patients. The care is provided and supervised by qualified, dedicated and experienced multi professional staff.
The department is led by the Directorate Manager, Lead Nurse, Sister and Charge Nurse supported by Senior Staff Nurse, Staff nurses, HCA and administrative staff.
Who we're looking for
The Lead Nurse is an influential role and recognised as being critical to the delivery of Bupa Cromwell Hospital's Strategy. The Lead Nurse will be a team player who treats all colleagues with equal respect, is inclusive and democratic but also prepared to manage staff to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective services. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for advancing change in four main areas of impact - quality, patient experience, finance and efficiency, and leadership and skills development.
As a Level 1 Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN Number you will be able to demonstrate post registration experience in cardiac and medicine. You will have an ALS or EPALS certificate or willing to work towards in the first 6 months and be able to demonstrate experience of leading a team of nurses in diverse settings strong record of proven clinical leadership. Experience of teaching, research and knowledge of current CQC regulations is also required. Experience of working in a hospital environment is also required to be successful within this role.

To provide clinical leadership for all teams in the Surgical Directorate.
You will provide strong clinical leadership in all the units acting as a role model for Sisters and Charge Nurses
