Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust is no ordinary NHS hospital. We look different, feel different, and act different.
Whether you want to be a Nurse, Consultant, or part of the vital network of professionals who support the infrastructure and environment needed to provide the best patient care, when you join Hinchingbrooke you’re part of a family. That’s the beauty of a hospital like ours – we’re big enough to strive to be the best, small enough to care, and dedicated to your continued development and support.
We are a small team who provide highly specialised, expert knowledge and clinical care to cancer patients, their families and carers.
Our vision is ‘to work collaboratively across boundaries to deliver safe and effective care, improve cancer clinical outcomes and enhance patients and carers experience and quality of life.’
This highly successful service is driven by a growing need to transform the approach to supporting people living with and beyond cancer.
This is one of a very small number of community cancer teams which is at the forefront of driving transformation and innovation.
The team now requires an individual who combines expert cancer knowledge with the capability to consolidate and further develop this service and ensure ongoing delivery of the recommendations made by Achieving World Class Outcomes: A Strategy for England 2015-2020 (The Cancer Strategy), and The Five Year Forward View(NHS).
As the lead nurse you will have the opportunity to ensure that the Cancer Strategy is delivered to patients through this successful and increasingly renowned service
Whilst a full time person is preferable, the right person with the right vision is most important so flexible working hours will be considered.
