Lead Occupational Health Advisor
Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

To be the lead OH nurse in the delivery of a comprehensive professional OH service to a key corporate client, in line with company OH policies and procedures, and local arrangements.


The primary focus will be on delivering a first class OH service to meet the company’s changing business needs.  The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of an exemplary service that is corresponding to our service level agreements, alongside building good relationships with key stakeholders.

A large part of the service centres upon supporting the company’s employees required to travel/work overseas.  Travel health is therefore a primary focus, to include medicals required for travel and vaccination services, as well as case management.

The approach for all services will be predominantly face-to-face with occasional remote case management. 




Job Requirements

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Carry out pre pre-placement health screening
  • Deliver a case management service
  • Provide a comprehensive travel health programme
  • Assess the need for health surveillance programmes required under Health and Safety legislation,
  • Assist with risk assessments,
  • Assist with vaccination programmes,
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of health promotion activities,
  • Ensure proactive management of all cases until closed.
  • Maintain OH records in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Be a source of advice to staff and managers on issues pertaining to OH. 
  • Provide an advisory capacity to the client on specific health issues.
  • Lead travel health nurse
  • Support Occupational Health projects,
  • Any other duties within the scope of OH practice, as required.
  • Assist the Wellbeing and Clinic Manager
  • Report any processes or procedures that are contrary to Occupational Health best practice,
  • Collate OH activity and assist with the compilation of management information reports.
  • Participate in audits, satisfaction surveys and any other quality monitoring,
  • Attend and participate in meetings with key stakeholders, as
  • Maintenance of all stock and equipment, to ensure safe service delivery.
  • Build relationships with the wider Health team

Any other duties that will enhance the service provision, as required.
