Lead Support Worker 

Location - James Nugent Court

Ref 6116/JNC

Hours - 39 Per Week

Salary - £7.22 - £7.78 (Per hour pay award pending) 

James Nugent Court is a modern, purpose built home providing low dependency care for 56 older people in luxurious en suite accommodation

The Lead Support Worker will be required to lead a small staff team and contribute to the direct care of residents.

The successful candidate will be qualified to Diploma Level 3 or equivalent and have experience of working with vulnerable adults. You must possess good communication skills with the ability to monitor standards of work.

QUALIFICATIONS                                             Essential                      

First Aid Certification or willing to undertake this. NVQ Level 3 Social Care (or equivalent).


EXPERIENCE                                                   Essential                      

To have worked in a paid or voluntary capacity

with vulnerable adults who need physical care for at least 2 years.

Responsibility for making decisions.


SKILLS                                                            Essential                      

Good oral, written, liaison and    communication skills.

Leadership and Delegation.

Ability to monitor standards of work. 


KNOWLEDGE                                                   Essential          

Issues surrounding Equal Opportunities

Issues relating to Anti-Discriminatory Practice
