Support Worker Job in Rye

We are looking for professional, dedicated and experienced Learning Disabilities Support Workers who can offer commitment to delivering high quality care to our clients with learning disabilities in the Rye area of East Sussex.

About the Role:

Our person centred service is designed to enable the service users to interact with their families and also the local community, enabling them to maximise their independence and live fulfilling lives. A conscientious and dedicated approach to personalised care makes an incredible difference to all service users, which is why we are looking to employ the best people, to develop the best skills.

You will need to have experience supporting clients with learning disabilities or autism and be confident delivering personal care with a mindful approach towards protecting the dignity of the individual. 

It's desirable that you have at least an NVQ2 / SVQ2 level qualification in Health and Social Care and epilepsy training.

In order to be considered for this Support Worker job you will need the following:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in a care or nursing home in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs
  • Full driving licence and access to a car preferred
  • Epilepsy training desirable, but can be arranged
  • Up-to-date moving and handling training
  • NVQ2 / SVQ2 in Health and Social Care highly preferable.
