Support Worker Jobs in Yate, Bristol - Learning Disabilities 

We are seeking experienced Support Workers to work early morning and evening split shifts for a service user who has learning disabilities and lives near the local Yate area of Bristol.

A conscientious and dedicated approach to personalised care makes an incredible difference to our clients, and that’s exactly what makes you the perfect fit for our team. You will form an integral part of the Newcross team, delivering person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans that enrich lives. 

The Job Role:

This is an exciting and varied role working with service users who experience different challenges due to their learning disabilities. 

Our person centred service is designed to enable the service users to interact with their families and also the local community, enabling them to maximise their independence and live fulfilling lives. You will play a vital role in facilitating these needs, providing support and assistance and helping clients to participate in their favourite activities.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be a naturally compassionate person with a strong sense of empathy for those individuals in your care.

You will also need the following:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in support worker role 
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs.
  • Full driving license and access to a car highly desirable.
