Job Description

Are you an experienced dental clinician with proven abilities to deliver high quality teaching and scholarship in Paediatric Dentistry? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience and developing education programmes in a leading University? If so, we have the ideal opportunity for you.

You will primarily be responsible for high quality education predominantly in the delivery and leadership of the postgraduate teaching programmes but also for leading undergraduate programmes. With proven clinical skills and some experience in dental education, you will contribute to an internationally recognised postgraduate paediatric dentistry programme within a successful and UK leading dental school.

Salary will be on the New Consultant Contract (£76,001 - £102,465 p.a.) depending upon seniority within the consultant contract

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment and will need to be renewed annually. Note for Band 1 roles the Trust will pay for the cost of the DBS checks and will refund to you the cost of the update service.
