LOCUM CONSULTANT DERMATOLOGIST

We are seeking to appoint a Locum Consultant Dermatologist to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will join a substantive team of three substantive dermatologists, 3 specialty doctors and 6 specialist nurses, supported by a nursing and administrative team. Flexible working arrangements will be considered wherever possible and we welcome applications for both full time and part time positions.
The dermatology department is undergoing an expansion and development of services to meet the current demand and is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic dermatologist who has the vision to help us develop our service further and deliver high quality skin care throughout Herefordshire via a truly integrated service. We would encourage the development of a specialist interest especially one that compliments the department and service requirements.
The department treats a wide range of skin conditions in both adults and children. We offer see and treat skin surgery clinics, PDT, iontophoresis, patch testing, phototherapy (PUVA/ TL01), and inflammatory skin clinics looking after patients on biologics and systemic therapies.
The dermatology clinics are mainly delivered in Hereford but we also provide community clinics in Ross-on-Wye and Llandrindod Hospital. The team enjoys excellent support from histopathology and has close working relationships with maxillofacial and plastics services together with rheumatology, paediatrics and gynaecology.
Applicants would ideally be on the Specialist Register of the GMC.
