Applications are invited for a one year fixed term Consultant Medical Oncologist at Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will join a friendly, enthusiastic and innovative team, working with one other full time Medical Oncologist along with visiting Consultant Oncologists from neighbouring Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
The directorate is seeking a full time (10 PA) candidate to provide oncology services to Yeovil with sub-specialisation in breast and urology.The department welcomes discussions from applicants wishing to discuss flexible working or part time commitments Experience in ovarian cancer would be a preference but is not essential to this role.
This will include outpatient clinics, attending relevant MDTs and also providing support to the well-established Acute Oncology Service. Yeovil District General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust participates in a wide number of research and clinical trials, and the successful candidate will have plenty opportunities to further their research interest. There will be no on call commitment, as out of hours advice is provided by on call consultant colleagues in Taunton.

Applicants must have MBBS and MRCP qualifications or equivalent and be fully registered with the GMC and hold a licence to practise. Ideally applicants should have entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview date), CESR or European Community Rights, although this is not essential for a locum position.
