This post will provide wide experience in all branches of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery. Appointee will be required to be resident on-call as part of a shift rota (Long days, no overnight cover). This is a busy department with 5 Oral & Maxillofacial Consultants and offers excellent clinically-based training and experience (see online job description for more details).
Dental candidates should have completed 2 years post-qualification in DCT equivalent/hospital posts with some experience of in-patient management.
All candidates will need to hold GDC and/or GMC registration at the time of appointment. Doctors and dentists who are not UK or EEA nationals and whose immigrations status entitles them to work without restriction in the UK will be considered on an equal basis with UK and EEA nationals. Other non-UK or non-EEA nationals with limited leave to remain in the UK and whose employment will require a work permit are subject to the resident labour market test and may only be considered if there are no suitable UK or EEA national candidates for the post. Evidence of immigration status should normally consist of a date stamped passport and accompanying letter from the Home office.
