We are seeking experienced Mental Heath Care Assistants to join our friendly Truro team working in the local Redruth, Camborne and Bodmin areas of Cornwall.

The Mental Health Care Assistant Role:

You will need to have experience of working  in an inpatient environment with people who have a range of mental health issues, and be confident in supporting individuals on a 1-1 basis.

You will need to be calm, confident individual, able to work well under pressure.

In order to be successful in this caring role, you will need to be a naturally compassionate person with a strong sense of empathy for those individuals in your care.

You will also need to have:


  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in mental health setting as a healthcare assistant.
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs.
  • A qualification in managing challenging behaviours would be advantageous
