Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust provides high quality integrated care across community health, mental health, learning disability and social care services in the South of England.

Antelope House is our acute mental health inpatient unit in Southampton where our multidisciplinary team offer high quality recovery focused care to adults with a range of mental health needs. Antelope House has 42 inpatient beds across two acute wards and a 10 bedded psychiatric intensive care unit.

We have been working with our staff to redesign our workforce and are now launching our exciting new model. We have developed new roles including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurse therapists, Associate Practitioners and Peer Support Workers. We now have exciting opportunities for skilled and dedicated mental health nurses to join the team at Antelope House. As a member of the team, you will support the delivery of responsive, evidence based recovery focused care to the service users in acute mental health crisis. You will act as clinical supervisor for an allocated number of health care support workers, and will oversee the day to day running of the shift supported by senior nurses.

We encourage and invest in individuals personal and professional develop in areas that they are passionate about and have a special interest in. We have designed career pathways for all staff from Band 2 support workers to advanced nurse practitioners. When joining our team we will work with you to decide how you want to develop and how we can support you.

For those candidates that are interested we may be able to offer a rotational post combining both community and in-patient experience working across our acute care pathway.

This is a full time post (37.5 hours per week - 1 WTE). Consideration can be given for flexible working.

We are looking to appoint highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, resourceful and resilient individuals who are committed to providing care with compassion to service users in their recovery.

We are offering generous relocation packages for those staff who wish to relocate to Southampton.
