The Emergency Assessment Team manages emergency referrals and provides advice/support to service users, carers and other professionals 24/7.The team works from bases in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds covering the whole county of Suffolk, as well as the Thetford area, working closely with referrers, service users, families and carers, other health teams and a range of professionals.

We seek bright, enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurses/Allied Health Professionals who are skilled, knowledgeable and inspired individuals with the ability to work in a recovery focused way. The ideal candidates will also aspire to offer clinical leadership, supervision and peer support within the wider team and management support to the Clinical Team Leaders.

DISCLOSURE AND BARRING SERVICE CHECK (formerly CRB)

Therefore, it will be your responsibility, if successful, to ensure that this is taken to the appointing officer as soon as you receive it.

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
