QEHB provides direct clinical services to nearly 900,000 patients every year, serving a regional, national and international population. We are a regional centre for cancer, trauma, renal dialysis, burns and plastics and have the largest solid organ transplantation programme in Europe. The Trust has the largest kidney programme in the UK and is a major specialist centre for burns and plastic surgery.

The Radiotherapy Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham has a vacancy for a Band 7 Mosaiq Specialist Lead Radiographer. Applications are welcomed from experienced and highly motivated Radiographers with proven clinical and supervisory skills.
This is a split post with the post holder being responsible for the day to day management in the use and development of Mosaiq in the radiotherapy clinical pathway as well as fulfilling the duties of a treatment unit Team Leader.
We are committed to having state of the art technology for our patients and an equipment replacement programme has already started. We already have a wide variety of highly specialised radiotherapy equipment including Cyberknife, deep x-ray, HDR as well as two Tomotherapy HD units and six linear accelerators, three of which have XVI.
IGIMRT is used in the department for a variety of treatment sites including sarcomas, head and neck and paediatric malignancies. We also treat a number of different sites with SABR.
We are moving towards a paper light department and this role will be pivotal in the implementation of this.
Applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent and be registered with the HCPC. Previous Mosaiq experience is essential. Professional development is high on our agenda and we have a commitment to Radiographer led services, with role advancement offered or actively being developed.
All new staff will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours to accommodate service demands as there is a requirement to routinely cover extended day working, Monday to Friday between 730am to 8pm. In addition there is a requirement to work bank holidays and some occasional weekend working in line with NRAG recommendations.
