Job Description

1 x 10 WTE Band 6 MSK Static Post - 375 hours over 7 days (substantive post)

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our MSK outpatient service based at Wythenshawe Hospital and Withington Community Hospital.

The successful candidate will be required to manage their own workload effectively and deliver safe and high quality patient care. The candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as a team player.

The MSK services in South Manchester are integrated with Specialist Tier 2 MSK assessment service, and provide a holistic management pathway for GP referrals. The team also receives referrals from within the acute trust, predominantly Orthopaedics, where both pre and post operative care is provided. The post requires weekend cover of Orthopaedic wards (approximately 1 day in 6 weeks). Currently we are redesigning the delivery of the service to provide extended hours. The MSK team is supported by therapy technicians and supports band 5 and 6 rotations and student placements.
