We are seeking a motivated and interested GP to undertake this key role in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults as part of an established, experienced and enthusiastic safeguarding team at NHS Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group.
The post holder will take a professional lead to support General Practice, including Out of Hours provision, to meet their responsibilities to safeguard vulnerable clients. They will work closely with other Designated Professionals and NHS services in Barnsley and in collaboration with partner agencies namely Social Care, Police, Education and the Voluntary Sector. As a GP with an interest in Safeguarding the role is essentially to augment and draw on your knowledge and experience to improve the understanding and capabilities of fellow practitioners to effectively respond to suspected or actual cases of abuse or neglect.
