Neurology Research Registrar
£32,803 - £48,605 A medically qualified person, with MRCP (UK), is required to undertake research into neurodegenerative diseases, with a focus on CJD and human prion disease. The work will involve the prospective diagnosis and identification of cases and will include detailed patient examination with clinical and epidemiological review. A clean driving license is essential, as is a willingness to travel extensively (occasionally at short notice), throughout the UK. There will be opportunities to gain particular experience in other areas relevant to the National Training Programme in clinical neurology, plus experience in epidemiology, public health and laboratory-based science, as well as in the analysis of data and the preparation of publications. This is a fixed-term appointment for two years in the first instance, although this may be extended. Placement on salary scale depending on qualifications and experience.
