This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join the current Neurovascular team as a band 6 and work alongside the current Neurovascular Specialist Nurse.
The post will involve:
• Assisting in the management of a patient caseload, assessing, supporting and following up patients with Neurovascular disease
• Working closely with health-care professionals within the Wessex Neurological Centre and throughout the region, making referrals as needed to enhance the quality of patient care and outcome
• Providing education and promotion of evidenced based practice within the specialist field
• Taking part in relevant research and audit
• Working autonomously, within agreed competencies, in the absence of the Neurovascular Specialist Nurse
The Wessex Neurological Centre (WNC) provides a dedicated, integrated 24 hour acute neurosurgical and neurological assessment, investigation and treatment service. Being one of the largest neuroscience centers in the country we provide services to a population of three million people. Sitting within a large teaching hospital, we have clear priorities for maintaining high standards of care and developing our specialist services for the community. The unit consists of
