Job Description

We are seeking capable and committed Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our client's Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit based in Central London (Travelcard Zone 1).
This is a full-time role but this Trust is open to hearing from applicants seeking to negotiate a part-time opportunity; however, fixed hours cannot be guaranteed.

Our client is a world-leading NHS Trust in Central London working exclusively in Paediatric care. Treating the full range of complex conditions, this prestigious hospital works with many of the capital's eminent Paediatric Consultant surgeons and a broad spectrum of experienced healthcare specialists.

This unique referral unit manages neonates with necrotising enterocolitis, bowel obstruction, oesophageal atresia, tracheoesophageal fistulae and other congenital anomalies. In addition to neonates with complex medical and surgical problems, other areas of expertise are also covered (laryngeal clefts, sacrococcygeal teratomas).
Staff on this unit have the opportunity to gain experience in extracorporeal life support (ECLS, also known as ECMO) nitric oxide and high frequency oscillation ventilation. The hospital is located in the metropolitan core of London, with excellent rail and underground connections.

Person Requirements:
Registration with the NMC; Adult or Child branch, (not requiring a period of supervised placement to complete registration).
A minimum of one year's experience within a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting.
A sound working knowledge of Neonatal ventilation.
Awareness of Child Protection issues.
