Emma MacPhee
Staff Nurse
Campsie House NDC

I joined Four Seasons Health Care in 2000 as a care assistant.

I was given excellent training opportunities which, meant that within a year I was promoted to senior carer.

The ethos at the care home was to help every staff member achieve their full potential. I was given support to apply for my Nursing qualification.

Having successfully completed my Bsc in Nursing, I have worked for several FSHC care homes. I have been given opportunities to further develop my clinical skills with training such as venepuncture, gastrostomy tube replacement and male catheterisation.

For the past 3 years I have worked at Campsie House NDC, part of the Huntercombe group. Every day is different, we support clients who are at the end stages of neurological conditions like M.S or Huntington’s disease. We also support clients with acquired brain injuries live as independent as possible.

I love being part of the friendly team at Campsie House. I have received further specialist training at Campsie House in particular neurological palliative care nursing.

I would recommend the company and the unit as a great place to further develop your nursing skills and knowledge.
