At East Surrey Hospital in Redhill we provide acute and complex services and a range of outpatient, diagnostic services whilst Crawley Hospital and Horsham in West Sussex and Caterham Dene Hospital and Oxted Health Centre in Surrey provide less complex planned services. Nuclear Medicine Superintendent - Band 7
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and committed Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Radiographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging Department
We are looking for an experienced dynamic Nuclear Medicine Superintendent to lead the Nuclear Medicine Team in the delivery of high quality care for patients and their families. The Nuclear Medicine Superintendent will promote and deliver safe patient care and foster excellent patient experience.
The post holder will lead a flexible and enthusiastic team who are committed to working as ‘one team’ to provide a comprehensive Nuclear Medicine service to the people of Surrey and Sussex.
The two camera department at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust currently undertakes approximately 2500 examinations per annum. There are plans to replace one camera with a SPECT CT in the next financial year
The post holder will manage the Nuclear Medicine service in providing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including bone scanning, MUGA, VQ , sentinel node, DatScans and GFR examinations amongst others.
Continuing professional development will be supported and encouraged.
The post holder will have excellent leadership and communication skills
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate evidence of extensive experience in Nuclear medicine and will be registered on the Voluntary Register of Clinical Technologists held by the IPEM or be a HCPC registered Radiographer.It is highly recommended that prospective candidates come and visit the Trust.
