Position: Nurse Practitioner
Location: I Heart Barnsley and other federation sites if required
Hours:variable shift patterns available from 4 to 26 hours per week either fixed shift or flexible to suit over a 6 week rota. Shifts available between 6pm-10pm Monday – Friday and10am-1pm at weekends and bank holidays.
Barnsley Healthcare Federation CIC is a not for profit organisation, putting GPs and healthcare professionals at the forefront of Primary Healthcare provision in Barnsley.
The Federation is building a large clinical and administration team that will work as one in developing Primary Care Services in Barnsley, working closely with our Training & Development arm to bring new Primary Care staff to the same high standard across the borough.
This position will work across the two hubs at Woodland Drive and Chapelfield Medical Centre. As the I heart service is available in extended hours this would be the perfect role for someone wishing to compliment any existing employment with additional hours as the shifts can be flexible to suit.
The ideal candidate will act as an autonomous practitioner providing a comprehensive clinical assessment/treatment service to patients/carers/families resulting in safe, appropriate clinical decisions. They will work within professional boundaries using clinical knowledge and expertise in conjunction with listening, questioning and probing skills in order to interpret information and to make professionally autonomous decisions for which they are accountable. They will facilitate the provision of healthcare information, self-care/health promotion advice and where applicable refer to the appropriate service for further care to meet the needs of the patient/carer.
